Meet some of INFINITE’s 2025 new joiners

We have been deepening our talent bench here at Infinite over the course of 2025, bringing in a wave of inspiring new faces. We sat down with six of the folks who have joined our ranks this year to talk about what brought them here, how they're finding their rhythm, and how they explain a career in communications. Meet Carroll Rudman, Catherine Acosta, Angela Anastasi, Chris Okey, Zoe Tobin and Sophie Mellish! 1. What drew you to a career in public relations and communications? Carroll: I've always been interested in how narratives are shaped, and I wanted to be part of the process that ensures the right voices are heard. It's rewarding to help elevate diverse points of view and connect audiences with sources they might not otherwise hear from. Catherine: The opportunity to delve into any topic and learn as much as possible! I have always been attracted to opportunities that allow me to continue learning and sharing the knowledge that I have found, and public relations is built on a foundation of dissemination. 2. How do you describe what you do in PR and communications to family and friends who aren't in the industry? Angela: I create ways to tell important stories to the world that might not otherwise be told. Sophie: Helping law firms, financial institutions and other organizations to get in front of their target customers in a meaningful way, to ultimately help them sell their services and products. 3. What's one aspect of PR or communications that you're especially passionate about? Chris: In PR, situations can develop out of thin air, and due to the speed of the news cycle, move with a vapor trail. I love the rush of fast-paced problem-solving in chaotic situations. Carroll: Making sure diverse perspectives are part of stories, because the more voices we bring into the conversation, the more informed and thoughtful the public dialogue becomes. And we need that in today's world. 4. What's a communication skill you think is underrated but essential? Angela: Building rapport! We are often so focused on an end result that we forget we're all human. It is essential to form relationships first. Zoe: Good judgment is essential in this field. I constantly evaluate how messages will be received by different audiences, anticipate potential backlash, and guide responses that are both timely and appropriate. When the stakes are especially high, I rely on strong judgment to navigate complex situations, assess risks, and make thoughtful decisions with both strategic goals and ethical standards. 5. Outside of work, is there a hobby or passion that helps you be a better communicator? Zoe: I grew up training in ballet and modern dance, and I still enjoy taking classes when I can. This art form has given be a deep appreciation for rhythm, expression and lyricism—qualities that continue to shape my communication style. Dance also instilled a strong sense of discipline, focus, and resilience, which have been invaluable in both my professional and personal life. Sophie: I'm part of a local book club where every month, we get together and individually present our thoughts about the book we've just read and answer on-the-spot questions from the group. It's a great ice breaker that makes you think on your feet, present your argument and get comfortable not just with public speaking, but not being afraid to challenge others' way of thinking.
