Meet some of INFINITE’s newest team members

Over the past few months, Infinite has welcomed a new group of junior team members to our growing team. We sat down with six of our newest hires to talk about what drew them to Infinite, how they’re settling into their roles, and how they describe a career in communications as they’re just getting started.

Meet  Frances Hubbard, Tyler Hutchinson, Gracie Veiga, Anna Schnorr, Aiden Béchamps, and Lucy Stokes!

1. What drew you to a career in public relations and communications?

Anna: I was first introduced to the world of public relations through direct mail work during the 2024 election cycle. That experience showed me how powerful strategic messaging can be – how earned and paid media can shape narratives, influence public perception and, in that case, quite literally flip votes! I was drawn to PR because it sits at the intersection of strategy and storytelling and loved seeing how the right message can change outcomes.

Tyler: My path to the PR world was somewhat unintentional. My background is more technical, but the opportunity to join Infinite introduced me to the analytical and technical side of communications work. What drew me in was the chance to apply structured, data-driven thinking to how information is understood and conveyed.

2. What surprised you most about working in PR once you got started?

Lucy: How much of the job is truly relationship-driven. Beyond strategy and messaging, so much of PR relies on collaboration, trust, and understanding what matters to both clients and reporters. Especially in legal PR, you learn how important it is to be thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely supportive.

Aiden: What surprised me the most was how the work is largely proactive instead of reactive. Before starting in PR, I thought it mostly involved responding to news and issues as they develop. In reality, so much of the job involves anticipating and initiating stories, and building relationships with clients and the media to put forward the best work and narratives possible.

3. What’s a piece of advice you’ve received in your career that’s stuck with you?

Tyler: A piece of advice that’s stayed with me is that being discerning is as important as being comprehensive. It’s about understanding how to shape and deliver information, so that it meets the needs of the person receiving it. Being able to adjust your approach, level of detail, and framing is often what makes the work useful.

Aiden: One piece of advice that has stuck with me is to never assume you understand the full picture of a hook, story, or angle on the first pass. Early in my career, when I worked in sports media, a colleague told me to always prioritize the "why?" in a story. Why is it happening? Why will it impact the future? Why does the public feel this way about what's happened or happening? It was also emphasized to me to think outside of the box when thinking of the "Why?" but to not lose sight of the box. This is a mindset that guides me still in my day-to-day work.

4. If you could give advice to someone just starting out in PR, what would it be?

Gracie: Try new things! You may think media relations is your sweet spot, but try writing content or building a digital campaign when the opportunity arises. You never know what secret talent you've been hiding.

Anna: Have a clear reason behind every decision you make and be prepared to defend it. Whether it’s a gut decision to target one reporter over another or why you think your client is the perfect spokesperson for a particular story, anticipating questions and potential pushback will make you stronger and more confident. PR is as much about judgement and preparation as it is about execution.

5. Outside of work, is there a hobby or interest that helps you think creatively or communicate better?

Lucy: I really enjoy reading, writing, and spending time exploring new places and experiences. Anything that helps me observe people and explore different environments strengthens how I think about audiences and communication. It keeps me curious and creative.

Aiden: I spend at least an hour a day playing the guitar and will write music here and there. Music is another form of communication that registers with people's minds and souls, and I've found that exploring it has helped me in even the smallest day-to-day interactions. It allows me to step back from highly structured thinking and focus on rhythm, tone, and feeling, and has helped me think more intuitively about storytelling. Instruments are also something that can never be mastered; it's a constant learning experience and teaches you to stay committed to your goals.

6. What are you most looking forward to as you grow with the team at Infinite?

Frances: I'm excited to keep learning from our talented team! One thing that drew me to Infinite was the range of experiences and backgrounds. Every day I learn something new from my colleagues, whether it be about PR, an issue facing a client, or a new book to read!

Gracie: There are so many different sides of PR. I'm looking forward to exploring the world of Infinite beyond media relations, like assisting on new business pitches, crisis work, and content creation.
