Business Insider names Jamie Diaferia a “Top Crisis PR Executive”
March 25, 2020
Business Insider has included Infinite Global CEO Jamie Diaferia on its list of top crisis PR executives. The list recognizes the “18 top public relations experts CEOs scramble to hire in a crisis.”
“They’re the people sought out by CEOs and high-profile people seeking help spinning the press, keeping them on message, and running their businesses smoothly,” according to Business Insider.
To compile the list, Business Insider drew from nominations and its own reporting on crisis communications. The list includes boutique shops, large independents and agencies owned by giant ad holding companies with sizable crisis practices.
Of Diaferia, Business Insider wrote, “…he’s worked behind the scenes on some of the biggest stories in the news, including the collapse of Enron, the Penn State scandal and several high-profile civil and criminal prosecutions — making him a top pick for crisis and PR among lawyers polled by the National Law Journal in 2019.
“His big case last year was Scott Hapgood, an investment banker accused of manslaughter in Anguilla, for whom he mounted what The New York Times called ‘a formidable public relations campaign, winning sympathy and support from various American politicians,’ including President Trump himself.”
Diaferia has also been named one of Lawdragon‘s “100 Leading Legal Consultants and Strategists” in 2016-2019 and PR News’ “50 Game-Changers of PR,” and was ranked by Chambers in its 2018 and 2019 Communications supplement.
