A multinational law firm engaged Infinite Global to develop strategies to generate media opportunities for a high-priority cybersecurity partner and to raise the profile of its global Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice.

Approach

Infinite Global tapped its deep relationships with cybersecurity reporters at national, legal and trade publications. We leveraged the firm attorneys’ cybersecurity experience in both the public and private sectors to capitalize on timely news developments ranging from malware attacks against businesses to state-sponsored cyberattacks with sweeping national security implications. We secured interviews and publishing opportunities, resulting in coverage in top-tier outlets and targeted industry trade publications, as well as organized source meetings to build relationships between firm attorneys and leading journalists. Our media relations efforts have allowed the firm to demonstrate its expertise in domestic and international cybersecurity and data privacy issues.

Infinite Global’s Content Center has also drafted multiple winning nominations on behalf of attorneys in the practice, including two Law360 Rising Star Cybersecurity & Privacy winners, and one Law360 Practice Group of the Year.

Outcome

Within our first month working with the firm, we were able to position both US and international attorneys as leading experts on a pending cybersecurity bill. This media campaign resulted in a quote from the leader of the practice in the print issue of The New York Times and a number of other targeted publications, as well as interview opportunities with top-tier publications such as The Wall Street Journal.
