About Clay
Drawing on nearly two decades’ experience in law, public relations and nonprofit management, Clay Steward is a strategic advisor to law firms, financial services companies and other complex organizations. He helps advance his clients’ core business objectives by building and executing targeted, high-impact communications plans that position them as experts and influencers in their respective industries.
A media-savvy storyteller, Clay partners with his clients to hone their messaging, communicate their value and elevate their public profile. His knowledge of the law across a broad spectrum of practice areas enables Clay to anticipate industry trends and secure valuable media opportunities for his clients.
Clay practiced law in Los Angeles for several years before launching his PR and marketing career advising nonprofit organizations, including St. Joseph Center and Inner-City Arts. He then served as an in-house communications manager and writer for a midsize national law firm and held a senior role at a professional services-focused PR agency. Clay earned a BA in Political Science and English from the University of California, Berkeley and received his JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
